Our Spring 2022 Horse Show!

So much to be thankful for, and so much to say!  A complete Pratt Athletics pandemic furlough for the 2020-2021 academic year.  A return in Fall 2021 but, as part of our careful Covid return, no competitions until Spring 2022.  And then:  The Adelphi University IHSA show on March 13, 2022, where Pratt Equestrian finished fourth our of the nine teams competing that day, with the other teams having been in competition mode all year before us!   The Photo Gallery displays the efforts and the smiles that day, and the list, the full results. We couldn't be prouder of our team. Our heartfelt thanks to everyone at Pratt and to family and friends for their support, to the IHSA and all the teams in our Region, and to Adelphi for hosting such a wonderful show!

Videos:  On Two Different Horses

12/20/2021

Below, you'll find links to two videos of Co-Captain Edy Tabor in lessons with Head Coach Jake Pittari.  Edy's riding two very differently-experienced horses in these lessons:  The bay horse is Lego, an OTTB who last raced in October 2020 before coming to Jake, and is rather green over fences.  The grey horse is Shock, who has a great deal of experience over fences.  In these videos, you'll hear Jake coaching Edy on Lego with a focus on how best to work with a less experienced horse to help him learn, and coaching Edy on Shock with the focus on their learning and progress as a rider, given Shock's fuller knowledge of the job he's doing.  And in both videos, you'll see our Co-Captain doing and outstanding job themself!
