Equine, Canine,
& Feline Portraits

All Proceeds Go to Pratt Equestrian

How This Works:

Once you've made a choice from the Pratt Equestrian artists listings below, please email equestrian@pratt.edu with the details of your request for an equine, canine, or feline art commission.  Faculty Advisor & Assistant Coach Kathryn Cullen-DuPont will check with the artist about the time required, and she'll get back to you with a letter of understanding and the information you'll need to make payment via check, cash, or credit card.  Please note that all rights to the artist samples on this website are reserved to the artists.

I am a Senior 3D Animation major and semi-self taught I am a Senior 3D Animation major and semi-self taught artist. I enjoy making super cute drawings but, I can work in a variety of styles from realistic to cartoony. I can draw any type of pet including horses, dogs, cats and more. And I am able to work in a variety of mediums including pen, pencil, oil pastel, and digital. When I draw digitally I can also provide a time lapse video which shows a speed up version of  how the artwork was created.

The two equine drawings at the top are examples of my cartoony pet portraits and were created digitally in Procreate. The feline drawing to the right is also digital, and an example of a realistic pet portrait. These would be a great gift for animal lover of any age in your life.  I look forward to creating a beautiful portrait of your favorite pet for you!

I am a painter and printmaker. I deeply love animals, so any portrait commissioned will be done with love. I will happily work in a medium that you have in mind; some of my favorites are watercolor, ink, charcoal, and oil paint. I will also gladly work in linoleum blocks to create a stamp-like print, which would give me the ability to give multiple for one purchase.

Prices:
For prints of already-completed work, such as either of the samples above, $50.00

For a portrait of an individual animal, please email equestrian@pratt.edu to describe your project and receive a quote.

I'm an Architecture major and a self-taught artist who draws/paints in a realistic style. I can work in multiple materials: color pencils, pastel, pan pastel, oil pastel, oil paint, acrylic paint, water color, charcoal. Sometimes I’ll even use multiple mediums in order to achieve a certain texture or effect. I also draw digitally using Procreate where I can mimic any texture.  When I draw digitally, I’m also able to provide a time-lapse video of the drawing coming together.  You can see an example of this here.

On the particular flea-bitten grey horse to the left,  since most of the coat was white-gray, I added a pan pastel pearl white on the color pencil strokes so the light captures the shimmer under light, just like sun does on this horse's coat. For the background, I used mostly pastels, creating depth, since I wanted the focus to be on the horses face.

The prices below are for portraits of individual animals.   For prices of portraits of animals with their humans, please email equestrian@pratt.edu to describe your project and receive a quote.  Again, all proceeds support the Pratt Equestrian Team.

Digital any size with time-lapse video $50
Realistic 8.5x11 paper $100
Realistic 11x17 paper $150

I'm a 2D Animation Major, semi-self taught and ready to draw 24/7! My style varies quite a bit, but I typically go for a more abstracted-realistic sytle (as seen with the portrait of my dog) or a more simplistic-graphic novel style (as seen with the portrait of the horse) for my art. The examples to the left are done in Photoshop and acrylic on canvas, respectively. Not only am I proficient in acrylic and digital painting, but I am also quite comfortable with pencil, marker, charcoal, ink, and watercolor. I would also be more than happy to provide your portrait commissioned with a background, as per request! Commissions can take anywhere from up to two weeks to a couple months to complete.
